A1Wednesday, November 11th is Veteran’s Day and while there have been many celebrations over this past weekend, San Diego’s biggest event is on the actual holiday.

This year’s 2015 Veteran’s Day Parade is scheduled for November 11th on Harbor Drive. Although all veterans will be honored during this event, there will be special recognition for the veterans of World War II.A4

The event is produced by Veterans Week San Diego, which consists of all volunteers, including veterans and citizens, who put together a program each year to thank all veterans for their courage.

The parade starts at North Harbor Drive on November 11th at 11:00am and ends at 1:00pm.

From Fountain Plaza, located in front of the County Administration Building, the parade then will proceed south past grandstands and Broadway, including the USS Midway.

Then it will go one block east to Pacific Highway and end there.

The route is about a mile long and will include floats, bands, and, of course, veterans.

Viewers should consider traveling to the parade viewing areas by taking the trolley to the Santa Fe Depot or another nearby trolley stop since parking nearby to the parade is extremely limited and accessibility is difficult.A5

This includes any green, orange, or blue line trolley station, which has plenty of parking.

In addition to the Veteran’s Day parade, don’t forget that we have a wide array of patriotic flower arrangements, wreaths, and baskets that you can give to a veteran, display at an event, or leave in remembrance at a gravesite.

We can also create custom Veteran’s Day flower arrangements at any one of our San Diego flower shops.
