Celebrating Thanksgiving in San Diego

Thanksgiving Events in San Diego

The festivities have begun for the winter holidays. First up is Thanksgiving with many fun events planned. San Diego Bay Wine and Food Festival Already underway is the 11th Annual San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival. It runs from November 5th until the 22nd. This five-day event draws food and wine enthusiasts from all over the country to participate in tastings and cooking demonstrations with some of the most famous chefs around. This delicious event occurs at many venues around San Diego with many in the downtown/Gaslamp District. The Mother Goose Parade The second great event for Thanksgiving is the 69th Annual Mother Goose Parade held on November 21st. This is an East County event within San Diego that includes celebrities, floats, clowns, bands, equestrian units and more. Come out and join the fun! Holiday Shopping Events Don’t forget that right after Thanksgiving also comes the biggest shopping events of the year. We will be hosting an open house at all of our San Diego flower shops on Black Friday and Small Business Saturday. Stop in to see our latest holiday collection of flowers, centerpieces, and gifts. You can also pick up your poinsettia plants and Christmas décor. We’ll have demonstrations and lots of goodies to enjoy! Fun November Events in San Diego

While Thanksgiving is the focal point of November celebrations, there are other fun-filled and festive events that take place in San Diego this month that are worth taking in and offer something for every member of the family. Here are two of our favorite November events in San Diego. 11th Annual San Diego Bay Wine & Food Festival This favorite event brings together wine and food enthusiasts over the course of five days, starting on November 17th and ending on November 23rd. It has become the region’s largest wine and culinary extravaganza. Each year it grows as more venues are added throughout the San Diego downtown area. Some of this year’s highlights include the following: Comer Conmigo: Dinner. Tequila. Wine. This is an upscale six-course dinner at Comun Kitchen & Tavern from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. that is November 17th. Tickets are $175 per person. The Fish Taco TKO & San Diego Craft Beers On November 18th, this casual event will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens in Liberty Station. Tickets are $45 per person. 100 Years of Inspiration & Innovation: Trailblazing Cuisine Throughout The Century This event on November 19th will feature 10 courses paired with craft cocktails and wine, too. It will be held at the famous U.S. Grant Hotel in downtown San Diego. The exclusive event will be for only 24 guests, and tickets are $250 per person.
