Summer officially starts when the summer solstice arrives, typically on June 21st. This is when Earth is most inclined toward the sun, which only happens twice a year. This date and time has many traditions attached to it, but to most of us it simply means that we can officially start saying summer is here. For us, at Allen’s Flowers and Plants, we not only enjoy the fact that summer brings us even lovelier weather in San Diego and we can take advantage of the bay, beaches, and inland areas, but it also means we can focus on enjoying the beautiful summer flowers and summer celebrations where our flowers are often features, including events, parties, and weddings.
