With National Indoor Plant Week coming up during the third week of September, we wanted to do our part to spread awareness of the value of indoor plants and what they offer in terms of decor and health benefits. National Houseplant Appreciation Day!

Sunday, January 10th is National Houseplant Appreciation Day. It's a good time to bring more of nature into your home and that of others in your life. The day was created to bring more recognition to the benefits that green plants, indoor plants, and blooming plants can offer you, including cleaner air and more oxygen. Since it's also the start of a new year, it's a good way to start focusing on better health and creating a home (and even work from home) space that includes more of the outdoors. So many of us are spending more time inside than ever before, so these plants can offer a calming and healthful effect during such challenging times. The other good things to keep in mind about houseplants is that most of them are very easy to take care of and last a long time with very little maintenance. In fact, all you may need to do is put them in indirect or direct sun and check if they need water once in a while. Our San Diego flower shops also provide an extensive collection of green plants.
